Our specialty bulbs produce an amazing 400 watts of illumination. In addition, they operate at 6500 kelvin which is the same spectrum as the sun. It’s this combination of power and clarity which causes our systems to act as “fish magnets”, drawing sea life from every direction. Immediately after your system is installed, you’ll notice an increase in bait fish around your dock and seawall. Within a few days, larger fish will be drawn to the site to feed. Within a week, you should notice a dramatic increase in the number of game fish which frequent your property, creating an underwater aquarium unique to your home!
Believe it or not, our bulbs actually produce a brilliant white light during operation. The colored glow you observe is due to the presence of algae and other particles in the water. Depending on your location and water clarity, your effect can range from deep green (northern Florida, Alabama) to aqua and turquoise (Miami beach, St. Kitts). Beware of companies offering colored bulbs and lenses. They use low kelvin bulbs which must be colored in order to avoid a muddy brown effect.
The SeaScape lighting systems are designed to float under the surface rather than sink to the bottom of the water. This was done in order to allow our customers the ability to set their lights at various depths. Lights which sink are reliant on the seafloor, and will create different effects depending on how deep or shallow the water is at that specific location. This can be unsightly and creates frustration for the property owner. With SEASCAPESYSTEMS, we offer the ability to position each light at the same depth, thus allowing for uniform patterns on the surface. We offer a number of anchoring options depending on your needs. For firmer seafloors, we provide a sand screw which via our included nylon anchor line, will hold your system firmly in place. For softer ground, we recommend using a cinder block (or equally weighted object) which will (again via our anchor line) lock your system into place.
